Express Thanks for these Truths about Prayer

In prayer, we communicate with God and He communicates with us. Pray that you will be strengthened in your prayer life and motivated to continue intercession for our nation, our military, and that we will have godly leaders.

So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.  I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed.

―Daniel 9:3-4

Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary.  Give ear, O God…We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.

What does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

But when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
